In 2 days I get to go on vacation for the Little People of America convention. This year it is in Washington, DC. I’ve never been to Washington, DC and it is a place that I have always wanted to see.
I love the LPA conventions not only because they are my excuse to go somewhere for vacations but also because for that whole week I am surrounded by fellow Little People and get to meet new people.
The conventions have dances and meetings and site seeing trips and is a lot of fun. Usually we meet with doctors and see what new medical information they have to offer plus we talk to other people from all over the United States and even some other countries.
When I was younger I wasn’t as interested in meeting with the doctors and seeing what they had to say, but as I’ve grown older I’ve realized that I may be a huge part in helping doctors discover more about my dwarfism.
It has been almost a year since I have started this blog and my reason for writing my blog is to educate and to hopefully reach out to other people who can help with the research.
I feel as though my goal is to find the answers that for so many years doctors couldn’t answer for me and hopefully use that information to help others in the future. I have always said that I don’t want others with my dwarfism to have to go through the things I have and any information that I have that could help them I am more than happy to share.
